Each one runs over consecutive weekends and covers a set of lessons, and one fee buys the whole course, not a lesson at a time.

Clay, tools, glazes and firing are included.

Stage 01

Clay

Where everyone starts. One weekend, three lessons, and enough time at both the bench and the wheel to find out which one your hands prefer.

Beginner Foundation Courses

Stage 02

Forming

Building height, wall control and repeatability — by hand, on the wheel, in the round, or out of a plaster mould.

Stage 03

Surface

Texture, carving and pattern — the marks that stay after the clay is fired. Surface is where a piece stops being generic and starts being yours.

Glaze

Chemistry you can see. From dipping and pouring to formulating your own recipes — colour, opacity and melt, controlled.

Firing

Raku, gas, experimental — the kiln transforms everything before it. Bring bisque-fired work and fire it live.
